Mindful Movement and Stillness

These drop-in sessions are a chance slow down and find your own pace, to wind down and find that place of stillness inside.

We will practice some yoga-based movement very gently, listening closely to our bodily experience and observing our reactions both physical and mental.

We will end the session with a 15-20 minute sitting practice focussing on the breath or other anchors in the body.  There will be chairs, blankets and cushions to help you find the most comfortable and supportive position in which to do this.

These sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities and no previous experience is needed.

The aim of each session will be to appreciate our ability to settle into our bodies and gently accept our experience for what it is, rather than striving to achieve a particular mental or physical state.  We can take this practice into our daily lives and learn to live each day more fully and with greater awareness of our needs and the needs of others.

Sessions take place on Tuesdays: 10 - 11.30am at The Yoga Tree, 50 All Saints Green, Norwich, NR1 3NB

On the 4th week in each month there will be no class but there will be a Zoom session offered instead in that week.

£6 per session or £20 for four sessions

Sorry, these sessions are not suitable for those suffering with acute mental health issues or emotional distress
